Yellow® NZ app good for
The overall structure is great, the ability to map results, the ability to go to google maps & get a route, all fantastic.
But, there are a few problems, if you are searching for a location other than where you are now or using an iPod Touch, then it wont always get results & you cannot enter a location & then search favourites, you also cannot save a search & location into favourites. There is no history in the What/Where fields or auto fill based on Database of locations.
As a v1.0 though really impressive content & structure, but needs a little bit of fine tuning to be as useful as it could be.
This app is sharp, fast, and runs brilliantly on my iPhone 3G. Its exactly what Ive been looking for, and it made it to my first Home screen immediately after downloading it. It swiftly finds anything I ask of it, whether a business or a person. Great app, and you cant beat the price.
To any reviewers giving this app one star because you live in a city with "a million people" and you cant find "Wal-Mart, Target, or Lowes" - well, duh. This is Yellow Pages for NEW ZEALAND. Those companies dont exist down here!
Some bad moments
Currently not working!! "Near me now" doesnt organise the list by distance so I get a list of 450 bars spread all over the country.
The UI is very nice however, this app could not find anything. I was across the street from Wal-Mart, Target and Lowes and could not find anything. I live in a town with over a million people. Useless app! Much work needed!
Most of the time my searches end with zero results, so I google it instead and I find the phone number that way.
